“This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Your face.” ( Psalm 24: 6 NKJ )
I believe we are a generation who will seek God’s face as Jacob did, and see Him face to face.
Psalm 24: 3,4 “Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart.” Even though every person is God’s creation, only certain ones are allowed in His presence.
Isaiah 33: 14 – 17 “… Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire?… He who walks righteously and speaks uprightly.. Your eyes will see the King in His beauty.”
The Spirit Filled Living Bible notes says, “Who will endure the devouring fire of testing? The righteous who will also see the King in His beauty.”
“When you close you eyes, no matter where you may be, if you have spent time preparing a place for the Lord in your heart, you can go straight to His presence, as long as that place has been established. You never have to leave his presence – you carry it inside of you everywhere.” ( Rick Joyner’s book “The Final Quest” )
“Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you. Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; the autumn (harvest) rains also cover it with pools. They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion.” ( Psalm 84:4-7 )
The Spirit Filled Living Bible notes says, “blessings” in place of “pools”. To me it speaks that when we decide to go on a pilgrimage after God’s presence, our harvest will be full of blessings, and when we say, yes to what God asks us to do, He will then give us His strength, that will carry us to a place where we reach God face to face in Zion. If we take care of God’s needs, He’ll take care of ours.
