Putting Away the Pointing of the FingerGod loves us, and wants us totally restored, healed and forgiven. He has made every provision through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. If we find it difficult to experience breakthrough in some areas of our life, it may be because we have not released ourselves into the fullness of God's provision. Isaiah 58 links restoration and healing with the putting away of judgment and criticism. "Then your light shall break forth like the morning, your healing shall spring forth speedily... If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness". (Isaiah 58:8-9 NKJV) Our healing and restoration will "spring forth speedily" when we step into a realm where we know there is absolutely nothing God has against us. Absolutely nothing. There is no fault on our part, no performance required, no pointing of the finger or list of things to do. Healing cannot flow where there is judgment, which is why, before Jesus healed the cripple, He said, "your sins are forgiven you." (Luke 5:20) It is so important to know our right-standing with God when it comes to receiving our healing. As Christians, our own judgement of ourselves and of others hardens our hearts from experiencing the grace and freedom God has for us. Judgment was satisfied when it fell on Jesus. The whole universe pointed its finger at Jesus and He took the full penalty of sin and condemnation. Jesus bore our judgment. Now there is no condemnation in Christ because God's judgment fell completely on Jesus. The weight of our sin and our inadequacies was placed upon Him. Every stripe Jesus bore was our judgment placed on Him. He bore it all so we wouldn't have to. Every accusing finger, the standard of perfection and the demand for holiness was fulfilled through Jesus' sacrifice. "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5 NKJV) Jesus was judged so we could receive healing. The full penalty for sin has been paid. Jesus was judged on our behalf so we could receive salvation, healing, restoration and reconciliation with the Father. Healing in our lives, our hearts and our relationships can flow when the pointing of the finger stops. When the goal changes from who is right to reconciliation and connection, our healing and restoration springs forth speedily. Today as you step down from the judgment seat in your own mind and heart, you become a channel for God's amazing grace and mercy that flows to you and from you. PrayerFather, right now we put off from ourselves any pointing of the finger - any pointing of the finger from us and any pointing of the finger to us. All judgement has already taken place. The whole universe has pointed its finger at Jesus and He took it all. Father right now we stand in an environment that is completely void of judgement, and our healing springs forth in the midst of this glorious place. I have total freedom. I am hid with Christ in God. (Col. 3:3) I am free from any sense of failure, any sense of judgement, any sense of not being good enough, any sense of not being able to believe enough, any sense of not being able to be or do. I just cast myself on mercy. All I have to do is believe and receive Your love for me.
