Daughter of God

As a daughter of God, the smile of heaven is on you. You are His treasure and the jewel of God’s heart. He calls you a pearl of great price and places extreme value on you. You are a daughter of the King and He is captivated by you.

In our society there are often these unspoken expectations regarding the role of women. If and when women’s behavior or performance does not fit within the boundaries of the expected norm, there is often a feeling of guilt or shame. God’s words to us carry no guilt or shame attached to them. The love letter from God to His daughter is always one of joy and acceptance. Hold your head up high and be confident knowing that you are God’s daughter. God’s words to you are “well done”. As a woman, mother, daughter, sister and friend; God thanks you for your faithfulness, your servant heart and investment into the next generation of raising godly daughters and sons.

You are an inspirational woman who carries the heart of your Heavenly Father into the world around you. Don’t give up hope or see your purpose in life as unimportant. God’s plans for you are good and you have an integral role to play in the shaping and destiny of the lives around you. Many women throughout the bible did not realize what a crucial role they played in history. Esther saved an entire people group; Rahab changed the outcome of a war; Deborah was a prophetess and judge of the people of Israel; and one woman’s worship will be remembered throughout all of eternity. Sometimes the little, simple things we do in life have an incredible impact in the Kingdom of Heaven.

These inspirational women in the bible shaped history. The scriptures are filled with their stories about how God heard their prayers, granted their requests and bestowed favor upon them. Just like these inspirational women in the bible, you too have His attention and His favor rests upon you because you are His.

“The royal daughter is all glorious within the palace” (Psalm 45:13 NKJV).
As a daughter of God you have access to the throne room of heaven. God tells us to “come boldly to the throne of grace” (Heb. 4:16 NKJV). The Young’s Literal Translation quotes it this way, “we may come near, then, with freedom, to the throne of the grace, that we may receive kindness, and find grace”. You have access. This is an incredible revelation. As children of God, we have access to His grace, kindness and help at any time. God does not have visiting hours. His door is not shut to you, neither is He uninterested in all the little things that fill up your life.

Psalm 45:13 also describes the daughter of God as being “glorious”. Wherever you are, whatever your role is in life, you are described as "glorious". Whether you manage a boardroom, clean dirty diapers, speak in front of thousands, teach the next generation, or nurse and care for the sick; whatever your occupation, you can be confident that your Heavenly Father calls you “glorious”. You may not think your workplace or home is much of a palace, but your identity as a royal daughter of the King is not attached to where you are but who you are. And who you are is “glorious”!
