A song about the manifestation of the sons of God that gives hope in the midst of crisis.
Jesus has given us power to change the world with our prayers and actions. In the midst of our trials and suffering we are encouraged to manifest authority over conditions that afflict the human race contrary to God's will.

This song captures the cry of the human heart during a time of loss and grief. It encourages us to stay connected to the Father during the night seasons, even when our heart is hurting.
The mp3 starts with a brief talk; encouraging us to lean in to the heart of the Father especially during times of uncertainty and discouragment. After the brief talk, the song starts and it is our prayer that you will find hope, comfort and strength as you listen.

Song Lyrics

Do not despair in the hour of your fear
Tomorrow will come just the same
He will be there to watch over each care
So dont let your heart drift away
Lift up your eyes, theres a heavenly horizon
Help will be soon on its way
He never meant you to carry life's cares
So don't let your hope fade away
Heaven hears, heaven is longing for the day of restoration
The day of revelation, the power of the sons of God
Heaven waits, the whole earth groans, waiting for the sons of God.

Song Notes

In Romans, Paul makes reference to the whole earth groans waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God. (Romans 8:19)
It refers to the authority that Jesus has given us as a result of us being children of God to change the world with our prayers and actions - a positive change. In the midst of our trials and suffering we are encouraged to manifest authority over conditiions that afflict the human race contrary to God's will. "Thy kingdom come." The whole world is waiting for this manifestation of God's redemptive power in the earth.

In the prelude to the song, Ray shared how this song was birthed...

"Recently some people we know experienced a tragic loss and we know them to be good Godly people. We really felt for them. Sometimes we don’t have answers but this I know, God is not the author of sickness, He is not the author of tragedy, He is not the author of disasters and sometimes we may never have answers for these things.

Job experienced real disaster. He lost all his children in one blow. But you know what impresses me about Job – He didn’t blame God. “Shall not the God of all the earth not do right?” And then Job’s comforters show up and they spent 7 days with him. I know God ticked them off for giving answers to Job that weren’t correct. But you know at first they just spent a week with him and said nothing. And sometimes its OK in a moment of tragedy, to just be with somebody and say nothing. Unless you’ve really heard from God, say nothing. Just be there.

The Bible says to weep with those who weep and mourn with those who mourn. Sometimes its OK to not have answers. Word of faith people and Pentecostals sometimes aren’t too good at just mourning with those who mourn. There is a place for it. But we just don’t want to be known as people of compassion, we want to be known as people of power.

The Bible says the whole earth groans waiting for the revelation of the sons of God. God raised Jesus and sent the Holy Spirit and authorised us to act in His name. As believers we have the answers, we have authority to deal with situations in the earth that come against us that cause catastrophe and harm. The Bible says the whole earth groans, waiting for the revelation of the sons of God.

But some people say, “Where is God in all of this? Where is the God of Elijah?” But the earth is crying out, “Where are all the Elijahs?” And I just felt like God challenged me last night as I was grieving for the loss of these loved ones. Yes there is a place for that. God I know You are a God of compassion and I know You weren’t to blame. But I know heaven is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God.

In the first half of the song, let’s just hear the tender mercies of God. The second part challenges us to be a part of the answer to a needy world.
