“The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. The Lord is good to all; He has compassion on all He has made.” Psalm 145:8-9.
Do you believe that God is a good God? Our beliefs about our Heavenly Father affect our circumstances, relationships and experience in life. If we believe Father God is tight-fisted, angry, commanding and distant, then we interact with the world from this belief system. If we believe Father God is full of mercy, gracious, forgiving and ever loving, then this belief system affects how we experience life. What we believe about God changes our expectations and our expectations changes our reality.
So what is your belief about Father God? If Psalm 145:8-9 is not a reality to you, then ask Father God to reveal the truth of who He is to you. He is not a Father who is distant and detached from our day to day life. He is an ever-present help and companion in our lives. Ask Him today to restore your hope in Him for He is a good God.
He is the giver of hope, not heartache. He is the author of life, not death. If we truly understood the depth of His great love towards us, all fear, anxiety, depression and confusion would simply dissolve. He is the light in the darkness, an anchor in a storm and our shield in any battle. Ask Him today to reveal His heart towards you and to be the Great Shepherd of your soul.
“And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is.” Ephesians 3:18 NLT
