On earth we have the opportunity to have faith in God even when we cannot see the answer or reality of what we believe. This opportunity to have faith in God in the midst of a world of doubt is a privilege we will never get in eternity. Can your spiritual eyes see what has not yet manifested in the physical realm? Do your eyes of faith see the breakthrough, the healing, the reconciliation, the answer to your situation before you see it in the natural? Jesus always meets us at our faith level but then calls us to a higher perspective. He calms our fears and tells us “do not be unbelieving, but believing” (John 20:27 NKJV). |

Often in life we can be like the disciple Thomas. He did not have faith in Jesus or His resurrection until he saw Jesus with his own eyes. Thomas told the other disciples, “unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe” (John 20:25 NKJV). Throughout life, we too can be like Thomas with our list of requirements before we believe.
What list of requirements or conditions do you need before you have faith in God? Do circumstances have to be just right in order to place your faith in Him? Thomas needed his physical eyes to see in order for his heart to believe. Jesus met Thomas at his level of unbelief and said “stop doubting and believe” (John 20:27 NIV). Later in verse 29 Jesus encourages Thomas saying “because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed” (John 20:29 NKJV). We are “blessed” because our journey with God gives us the opportunity to place our faith in Him even when we do not see the answers.
As Christians we have the privilege of having faith in God. Don’t let circumstances around you dictate the faith level inside of you. Our faith in God surpasses anything we see or experience in the natural. Live today with your faith confidently and securely placed in God. We are planted on the Rock, not shifting sand and our faith in God is sure and solid. Have faith in God’s character and His promises towards you knowing that what He has promised He will bring to pass.
