How to Update Your Billing Info at Patreon
Support For Patreon Supporters Updating Their Credit Card Information
This page is for people who are currently supporters of The Secret Place through Patreon. The following outlines how to add a new credit card if your credit card has expired or you wish to change your credit card information.
Payment information can be updated at any point through your Patreon account.
Go to Settings in Your Patreon Account
Click on your icon in the top right hand side. From the drop-down menu, click Settings.
Go to Payment Methods
On the left hand side you'll see a menu. Click the option "Payment Methods". You can now view all the cards you currently have associated with your Patreon account.
Do not delete any existing payment methods (eg old credit card) until you have first added a new payment method (Credit card) and transferred existing pledges to the new card.
Add New Card
You can now add a new credit card or PayPal account. You will need to add your new credit card if your old credit card has expired.
Click the "Add Card" button and enter in your new credit card details. Confirm by clicking "Add Pledge Method".
Now select the "transfer pledges" red text next to the expired card and transfer the pedges to your new credit card or payment method.
Please note: If you delete your expired card, monthly pledges associated with that card will be deleted unless you FIRST transfer those pledges to an existing or new payment method before deleting.
